The first image of the log is of the first check in for my contents page for cover 1. It shows the plain white background, the masthead and title 'CONTENTS' at the top as well as the main image which is of a concert setting. The numbers down the side of the page will be anchored by content of the magazine inside.
The second image is the second log of the process of making contents page one. I have added the content next to the page numbers and a puff to emphasise the prize in the puzzle. However, the white banner that I was going to add on top of the main image doesn't give the impact that I was thinking it would have so I will remove it.
The third image is the third log of the contents page for cover 1. I got rid of the masthead and altered the title to being in the masthead's font and splitting it in two adds edge and modernity to the page. I changed the colour of the main content line to red to make it stand out on the page.
The log above is the fourth log of the process of making the contents page for cover one. I have changed the colour of the main text like the title, numbers and the puff to the same colour of the masthead on cover one to create consistency and a link between the two. I changed to shape where I revealed the prizes for winning the puzzle because it looked more professional as a rectangle.
The next log (above) shows that I changed the puff again but I just rotated it and put a drop shadow on the shape to give it prominence on the page. I also added the digital link to the website and social media pages onto the contents pages to promote those sites; I have created a real Instagram account for Apollo. I decided to put a blue transparent box behind all of the content on the page to make it look all tied together and smooth.
Content Page 2
For the second contents page, I started by duplicating all the elements from contents page one onto a new document. This makes sure that both pages have the same layout and are consistent. I will edit the colours and words as content as the next stage.
The next image is the second stage of contents page 2's making. In this step, I have changed the colour of the title, background rectangle, date and the puff in the corner. The colour is the same colour as the masthead on front cover 2; this creates consistency and a link between the two. I have also added the main image which will anchor the content plug of 'Feminism in Music'.
The third log of contents page two is the after I have inputted the content lines next to the new page numbers; I have also changed the colour of the kicker to the blue of the front cover 2. This furthers the link between front cover 2 and its contents page.
The fourth log is the final product of my second contents page. I have changed the colour of the digital links and added the website. I altered the prize in the puff to make it different from the first contents page.
